yes if you do not wash the hair it can start to smell. I’ve smelled plenty of people with dirty weaves and it smells reeeally bad. It smells like sweat.

Iv never tried a weave, but its a common fact you can get body odour if you dont wash your hair regulary. if find that you cant wash it every other day (because it will dry out or damage) then aim to wash it at least once a week without fail, that way your hair can stay fresh.and dont overload the hair scalp with products, greasy creams etc as this will all contribute to the smell, and produce more sweat therefore causing the body odour.hope this has answered your question
