HELP! Taking care of natural AND full sew-in weave hair?

Hello!

Recently I’ve acquired my first full sew-in weave (with the exception of my own long bangs in the front) and am wondering how I go about maintaining (wash, condition, etc) my NATURAL hair underneath (cornrows). Also, any tips on how to wash the weave hair (human) would be greatly appreciated! I am African-American with thin but overall healthy natural hair. I do not have a relaxer, but a deep conditioner. As my hair tends to get extremely dry after washing I would love to know of an EXCELLENT conditioner, shampoo, etc. for African American hair…

    As far as maintaining a human hair weave is concerned, I believe they sale weave maintenance products at beauty supply stores. A good deep conditioner for natural African American hair is the Kiwi Coconut Hair Smoothie and Curls By Nature deep conditioner from Mineral Indulgence. Both are 100% natural and made for blac women with natural hair. The smoothie is a leave in that makes the hair super shiny when you sit under a drier, and the Curls By Nature slightly “loosened” the curls in my hair (maing it more manageable) and accentuated my curls and made my hair VERY soft. The Nappturally Sulfate Free Shampoo maes the scalp tingle and is really good as well. Since your hair is natural, a good tip is to make SURE you rinse your hair with distilled water at all times. A lot of times the mineral composits in hard water can dry out natural blac hair and make it rough to the touch. All of the products are really good, and will help with dryness.
