I suggest going to Sally’s and getting the clip ins.
They’re cheaper, last longer, and aren’t painful.
I got the Euronext Remy 14 inch human hair extensions.
    They are $80.00
If you can’t match your hair color you can either dye your hair or get blonde extensions and have a stylist at a salon dye it to match your hair.
You can bring the extensions to the salon and tell them you want to get your hair cut to wear the extensions.
They usually just layer and possibly thin out your hair a bit so they will look natural.
They usually help you put them in at the salon.

Just like everything else, the better the quality of the hair, the more expensive it is. The best hair to use is the hand tied human hair but it’s expensive. I have friends and family that wear them and they paid a minimum of $800 for the hair. One person spent about $1500, but this is for the best quality. Sally’s sells human hair that’s a lot cheaper, but to me it doesn’t look natural. The better hair blends very well with natural hair. I would do a search for salons in my area. Then set up a consultation with stylists to ask questions about cost, because it will vary. It will also give you a chance to see their work. Good luck.
