Doing a full hair weave may be challenging, but the results are worthwhile. First you should choose between synthetic and human hair. Synthetic is best for braided and kinked styles, while human hair is better for straight hair, and it can always be curled later. Here’s how to do a full hair weave:
Step1
Braid cornrows as the base for the weave. Make them spiral around the head, and inward toward the crown. This hairstyle is also known as “The Beehive”. Keep every the cornrows as thin and tight as you can.
Step2
Beginning at the nape of the neck, sew the weave onto the cornrows. Follow the spiral around the head until you reach the crown. Then sew the track together at the crown, which will finish the weave and hide the weft.
Step3
Apply hair-care oils to the cornrows to prevent breakage and premature balding. The weave also needs to be oiled and shampooed, or it might dry out. Weaves can become frizzy and brittle, just like natural hair.
Step4
Be cautious when blow-drying and curling the weave. Synthetic hair can’t be repaired if it gets burnt. Also, don’t forget to wash the weave at least once every 7 days. You should have it removed after 8 weeks at the most.
