black hair weave
Thenewme asked:

My afro is averagely long and thick, but I’ve seen some pics of beautiful big and pretty afros that were achieved by using weave. I know that there are plenty of straight hair weaves, but what kind of weave would I buy to achieve an afro? When I go to the beauty supply store, what kind of weave would I ask for?

Create a video blog…instantly.

Ok, the first answer doesn’t know diddly squat.

If you want to achieve and Afro weave, go to ANY beauty supply (at least any BLACK beauty supply) and ask them if they have Jeri Curl weaving hair. It comes in anything from 8 to about 14 inches long and the price varies by length. If you live near a TiGis, they should have it.

Also, if you want a tighter and more condensed 70s Black Power ‘fro, you can get tighter curled hair. if you want a more modern and loose ‘fro, then the Jeri Curl should work fine. Also, the hair won’t look like a ‘fro when you first put it in. You need to complete the weave, and once you’re done, get a comb and slowly and carefully comb out the hair, and voila, you have an Afro Weave
