So I really wanted short hair and I saw some girl getting a weave on ANTM cycle 5 I think. Anyways, she was getting the needle version. I was interested in that because it seemed to be the most natural looking. How much does it hurt? Around how much does it cost? And where can I get it done? Thanks!

It does not hurt really, the only thing that may hurt is the braids depending on your sensitivity. It costs around $100+ at the salon, but I know people that do it for $30. Depends on where you live, to determine where you can get it done, but an AA hair salon can do it. I used to get all the time, before lace front wigs came along

If you have ever gotten cornrows done (especially from the African salons) it hurts about as much as that or less, just goes by if you have a sensitive scalp.
A lot of people do weaves out of their house for like $40 and I’ve seen top salons do a full sew-in weave for $250 plus. It is not a “get what you pay for” thing though. Some women who work out their kitchen do better than salons I know! Just investigate. Craigslist for lil small time people, essence magazine online for the best salons in your area, etc.
Keep in mind you must buy your own hair so that is another cost. If you want really short get 8 in pack, maybe 10 in if you want short but that angled Rhianna look since after a weave is in the stylist usually cuts the ends for a natural softer look. For that Rhianna look try a sewn in with a closure (which costs extra) but is worth it for a natural look or basket weave.
