black hair weave
Ness asked:

I have had a hair weave once, I really liked it a lot, except the braiding my hair part. I have a sensitive scalp when it comes to pulling on my hair. It hurt really bad (to me) and the pain lasted a few days. I want a hair weave again, but do not want to get it braided.

Someone told me you can just tie it tightly under a cap, but Idk how well that would work.

Thanks :)

    hair weave

There’s plenty of weaving methods that don’t require braiding. There’s the clip-on kinds. With these you have to make sure you’re hair texture and color perfectly matches them. They’re quick, easy, and you can take them out whenever you want to. I think this is one of the fastest and flattest weaves. I like making my own clip ons instead of blowing $100 or more on already made ones.

There’s strand by strand fusions that should be done by a professional. I’ve done my own myself, but it would’ve looked better if I had a pro do them. The weave is individually glued to each strand of your real hair by either keratin or polywax. I don’t encourage anyone to use Polywax because it will rip your hair out and do some major damage.

There’s the micro linking method which can be done with individual hairs or can be done with weave tracks.
There’s a brand called EZ Weft that is done without braids.

There’s the Malaysian Method that I recently heard of. I heard it’s a braidless method, but I don’t know how it’s exactly done. Here’s a site for it.

There are several methods you can try like the one’s mentioned above. I would stress your concerns with whoever is doing your hair and see if they can be more gentle on your sensitive scalp.

Don’t ever ever every do the micro where they pull the weave hair through the braid… It’s a horrible process that took out my hair (it looks pretty). The same expense you have putting it in… you have taking it out (hours) plus the damage to your hair (and it wasn’t cheap)… I swear she cut my hair to high cause it wasn’t that short before I put it in… and my hair hasn’t been the same since…

I’ve had it all… glue, the above, braids with and without a net, wigs, lace fronts. I think the best method for me… is a large frontal (closure come in all sizes) and tracks… that way you don’t have alot of pulling on your head. Have them braid your hair… or braid around the edges (depending how long your hair is) they need to braid so they can sew on the net and have them stitch to the net – not your own hair… you don’t want the thread pulling on your own hair… and when they use the net… they can position the hair better… if you need fuller pieces in places.

In addition, once the net is on… you can actually sew your hair… with the clips. Have someone braid your hair, put the net on… and you can sew clips onto weave hair and position them on the net yourself (it’s not hard at all). It just depends on what an active lifestyle you have.

Hope that helps… if the braiding is really a problem tell your stylist not to braid tight… she doesn’t have to anyway if she using a net
